Baptism Sunday
Interested in being baptized? We want to help!
What is baptism?
The act of being baptized under water is a picture of Jesus’s burial after taking the deadly punishment of our disobedience to God for us. The act of being lifted from the water is a picture of Jesus rising from the dead. Romans 6:4 puts it this way: “By our baptism then, we were buried with Him and shared His death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead […], we also may live a new life!”
Who should be baptized?
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commanded his disciples to baptize other disciples in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. So according to scripture, if you have made a decision for yourself to follow Jesus, your next step is baptism!
Why baptism?
Baptism is like a wedding ring. Wearing a wedding ring does not make you married, but it is a public statement to the world that lets people know about your marriage status. In the same way, baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. A way of letting everyone know you have made a decision to follow Jesus.

Welcome to Church Lunch
You're Invited: Welcome to Church!
New to our church or looking to get more connected? Join us for a casual, family-friendly lunch — a great opportunity to meet our leaders, hear more about who we are at LHC, and discover ways to get involved.
Enjoy a free meal, ask questions, and get to know others who are new, just like you. Whether you're ready to take a next step or just want to learn more, we’d love to have you join us!

PRAYER ROOM
Our Prayer Room at Lighthouse Church looks to create space for people to seek the Lord’s presence, intercede on behalf of others, meditate on His Word, and contend for revival. Join us as we ask for His Kingdom to come in Maine as it is in Heaven.

Alpha
Everyone has questions. These nights are meant to be a space for community and conversation.
Alpha is a place to invite your friends, family, and co-workers to explore the questions of life, faith, and meaning, and to share your perspective in a relaxed environment. All perspectives are welcome. No questions are off limits.
Meet new people, share a meal, hear a talk about a life topic, then break into groups to share your perspective.

Easter 2025
Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ together on Easter Sunday! This will be a time where we worship, spend time in prayer for one another, and look at what Jesus’ resurrection means for us. We will have kids ministry from 1-9yrs old, coffee from bard, and ample parking. We’ll see you there!

United Good Friday Service
This Good Friday, we’re coming together with churches across Portland to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and reflect on His incredible love. Through worship, Scripture, and prayer, we will journey to the cross as one body in Christ.
